Did you know that the Titan crane comes from Germany and not from the United States?

The dimensions of Titan are impressive: it is 112 meters high and weighs five million kilograms (5000 tons) hence it received its impressive name. In 2020, the largest crane in the Panama Canal will retire when it is about to turn 80.

From its Nazi past, only the original anchor remains, weighing 2,500 kilograms bearing a Nazi swastika, and motors made by Siemens-Schuckert that still have some German words, but everything else was translated into English. The rest of the pieces have been replaced over time, but maintaining their design.
